1. Who we are

2. What this notice covers

[LEGAL REVIEW]This notice explains what information 547boss holds, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this website (547boss.com) and the 547boss app that shops sign in to.

3. What the app stores

[LEGAL REVIEW]When a shop uses 547boss, the shop enters its own records: business details, sales, stock, purchases, expenses and the names and roles of its staff. We store these records so the shop can use the app.

[LEGAL REVIEW]The shop decides what to enter. We do not add to these records from other sources.

4. When you create an account

[LEGAL REVIEW]To check that an email address is yours, we send it a six-digit code. While you confirm it, we keep the email address and the network (IP) address you signed up from. That record is deleted seven days after it was last used.

[LEGAL REVIEW]When you finish, we keep the business details, your name, username and email so you can sign in. Your password is stored only in a form that cannot be turned back into the password.

5. Messages you send us

[LEGAL REVIEW]When you use the form on our Contact page, we keep your name, the phone number or email you give, your business name if you add it, your message, and the network (IP) address it came from. Only 547 Digital Hub staff read these messages, and only to reply to you.

6. How we use that information

[LEGAL REVIEW]We use the shop’s records only to run 547boss for that shop: to show its sales, stock, reports and activity log to the people the shop has allowed to see them.

7. Analytics on this website

[LEGAL REVIEW]This website uses Google Analytics 4 to count page views, so we can see which pages are read. No names, amounts or business data are sent to Google Analytics.

8. Sign-in and session storage

[LEGAL REVIEW]When you sign in, 547boss keeps your sign-in in your browser’s session storage. It is cleared when you close the browser tab or sign out.

9. How long we keep information

10. Your rights

[LEGAL REVIEW]Under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, you have rights over personal data about you. These include the right to know what we hold, to ask for a copy, to ask us to correct it, and to ask us to stop using or to delete it, subject to the Act.
